What do we mean by unmetered bandwidth, unmetered disk space, and unlimited websites?
-
Unmetered Bandwidth means we don’t impose strict limits on the traffic to your websites. You won’t need to worry about hitting a bandwidth cap as your website grows in popularity.
-
Unmetered Disk Space means you can host as many files as needed without worrying about storage limits while creating additional websites for your personal or business needs.
-
Unlimited Websites (as per the package) allows you to add as many domains as you like to your hosting account without any restrictions from our side, based on the plan you choose.
With our shared hosting plans, you’ll have all the resources you need for a smooth online experience while developing and running personal or small business websites.
In rare cases, if an account's resource usage negatively impacts the server’s performance, we may need to impose limits. This typically happens when an account is used to store, share, or stream large amounts of multimedia content, which is prohibited on our shared servers.
What are the limits on your hosting plans?
To ensure the smooth operation of our servers and websites, we require all customers to follow our Acceptable Use Policy and use disk space and bandwidth responsibly for web development purposes. As such, we apply limits on CPU usage, memory usage, entry processes, inode counts, mailbox sizes, and other resources.
Inode Limits
We have the following inode restrictions for our Unlimited plans:
-
Unlimited Plan I: 300,000 inodes
-
Unlimited Plan II: 500,000 inodes
-
Unlimited Plan III: 1 million inodes
An inode is a data structure that stores information about files and directories. While our storage is unmetered, the inode limits help ensure that no account overuses server resources with an excessive number of small files, which could affect server performance for all customers. These limits help maintain overall server stability.
Mailbox Limits
We also have mailbox storage limits for our Unlimited plans:
-
Unlimited Plan I: 1 GB mailbox limit
-
Unlimited Plan II: 3 GB mailbox limit
-
Unlimited Plan III: 5 GB mailbox limit
These limits ensure fair use of server resources and prevent any single account from impacting server performance due to large mailboxes. It’s important to manage your mailbox sizes within these limits to ensure smooth operation.
We understand that traffic spikes and resource demands can vary, so we provide burst allowances to handle these peaks, ensuring your websites continue to run smoothly.
You can monitor your resource usage, including inodes and mailbox space, through the Resource Usage menu in cPanel, making it easy to track your account’s resource consumption.
These limits are set to protect all accounts from potential negative impacts caused by excessive resource use or abusive activities on shared servers, while still offering flexibility for your website development and maintenance.
