Here are the steps you need to follow to Migrate Emails from Microsoft Office 365 / Google GSuite to cPanel Webmail.

Step 1: Add Your Old Email Account to Outlook

  • Open Microsoft Outlook.
  • Click on "File" in the top-left corner.
  • Choose "Add Account" and enter your old email address.
  • Follow the prompts to set up the account by entering your password and any additional information required.

Step 2: Create a Mailbox on cPanel

  • Log in to your cPanel account.
  • Go to "Mail" and click "Email Accounts."
  • Create a new email account with the desired email address and domain, set a password.
  • In the incoming and outgoing server settings, use the cPanel server's IP address as the hostname.

Step 3: Add Your cPanel Email Account to Outlook

  • Follow the same steps as above to add your cPanel email account to Outlook.
  • Use the cPanel server's IP address in the IMAP settings for the incoming server.
  • Use the cPanel server's IP address in the SMTP settings for the outgoing server.

Step 4: Drag and Drop Emails from Old Account to cPanel Account

  • With both accounts set up in Outlook, you can see the emails and folders from both accounts in the sidebar.
  • Open the folder of your old email account where the emails you want to transfer are located.
  • Select the emails you want to move to your cPanel account (use Ctrl + Click for multiple selections).
  • Drag the selected emails to the folder of your cPanel email account. This will copy the emails from the old account to the cPanel email account.

Step 5: Wait for Synchronization

  • Give Outlook some time to synchronize the emails between the server and your local client. This ensures that the emails you moved to the cPanel account are uploaded to the cPanel server.

By following these steps, you can easily migrate your emails from Microsoft 365 to your cPanel webmail account directly within Outlook. Before making any changes, always double-check that your important emails are safely transferred. Please note that for large email volumes, the drag-and-drop process may take some time. Enjoy a seamless transition to cPanel Webmail for a more streamlined email experience!
